Frequently asked questions
If you cannot find your answer here, please contact us at [email protected] or 765.283.6315
WHEN DOES CHURCH START? Our Sunday service starts at 10:00 am. We usually finish between 11:15-11:30 am.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT A SUNDAY SERVICE? The service usually starts with announcements. The praise team then leads the congregation in singing songs accompanied by guitar, keyboard, drums, and other instruments. After the message, there is a closing song and an opportunity to pray and respond to how God spoke to you. Prayer is offered to anyone who would like to be prayed for by the pastor or a member.
WHAT DO I WEAR? Please feel free to dress casually, jeans are very common at our services.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN? Children are always welcome in our worship service and are a treasured part of our congregation. For interested parents, nursery and preschool care are provided during the Sunday sermon for children ages birth-4 years old. During Sunday worship, children leave mid-service. Please don’t be discouraged. God put the wiggle in children. Don't feel you have to keep them completely quiet. If you feel your child needs to leave the service, do so, but please come back.
DO YOU TAKE COMMUNION? At Integris we do not take communion weekly but as the pastor feels led. He lets the congregation know ahead of time so we can prepare our hearts. At Integris we offer an open communion. This means all Christians are welcome to take communion, whatever their denomination, as all Christians are members of Christ’s family.
WHAT IS BAPTISM ABOUT? Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. At Integris we baptize in the river, pond, or pool from May-September. If you are a Christian and have never been baptized, you are encouraged to contact Pastor Greg for information about when the next opportunity is being offered.
HOW DO I GET THERE? If you are familiar with Albany finding Integris is fairly simple. We are located on the corner of State Street (SR 28) and Plum, directly across from Bowen’s Marathon. If you are traveling from outside of Albany, use the map below to get easy-to-follow directions.
